On Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help keep Pyropolis 2013 clean.

Below you can find links to the individual leads/areas that work hard to return the land to a pristine state.

The four major areas within site sign off are:

Earth Guardians - Inspire embracing of LNT principles and educate about sustainability

Exodus - Ensures that as participants leave, the leave in a LNT mindset

Clean up - Burn scar restoration and final land sweeps.

Recycling - Responsible for facilitating Flipside's recycling operations.

Post Operations - Ensuring all the infrastructure ends up back in place for next year.

Stay late: It's true, volunteers often stay until Tuesday (noon) getting an extra day of work and a night of serious fun. Our volunteer appreciation party at Ice Monday night is typically pretty epic. If you plan to stay until Tuesday, pack your camp Monday, with the exception of of your necessities. Leave yourself NO MORE than an hour's worth of packing on Tuesday, and you will not be considered "lame".
Update your wardrobe: Volunteers receive t-shirts to where proudly as a testament to our Leave No Trace philosophy.
Play new games: Imagine all the public naughtiness you could have at Flipside if there wasn't a couple thousand people around. With only volunteers on site, the fun is sure to ensue come nightfall.
